Cookie Policy
We monitor freight, not browsing. This site runs on a deliberately small cookie footprint: essential cookies only, no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember state between requests — a sign-in, a preference, a session. Related technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) can serve the same purpose. This policy covers all of them.
What this site sets
The public pages of this site — home, services, tracking, quote, and contact — work without any tracking cookies. Looking up a shipment requires only its tracking number and sets nothing that identifies you. The cookies we do use are:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| asl_admin_session | Essential | Keeps an authenticated staff member signed in to the operations console at /admin. HttpOnly and signed; never set for public visitors. | 12 hours |
| Framework cookies | Essential | Cookies the hosting platform or framework may set for request routing and security (for example, load-balancer affinity or CSRF protection). | Session |
Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary for the service it supports, this site does not show a cookie consent banner — there is nothing optional to consent to. If we ever introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will add a consent mechanism first and update this policy.
What this site does not do
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics scripts.
- No social media pixels or embedded trackers.
- No cross-site profiling: tracking-page lookups are not linked to your identity or browsing history.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential cookies listed above will not affect the public site, but staff will be unable to stay signed in to the operations console.
Changes and contact
We update this page when the site’s cookie usage changes; the revision stamp above reflects the last change. How we handle the personal data behind a session is described in our Privacy Policy. Questions go to privacy@aslfreight.org.
