A second watch floor has entered service in Rotterdam, splitting lane coverage between ocean and surface operations. The new floor takes over road-corridor and warehouse monitoring, allowing the original floor to concentrate on ocean and air lanes. Exception-handling capacity roughly doubles; customer-facing processes are unchanged.
The network now has more than 400 concurrently tracked units — containers, trailers, and air consignments — reporting into the console. The milestone reflects growth on the Rotterdam–Singapore and Rotterdam–Houston lanes, the new Hamburg desk, and the onboarding of two additional road-fleet partners to the ASL telemetry standard.
Twelve months of customs pre-lodgement data show median dwell time for ASL-brokered imports at Rotterdam's ECT Delta terminal falling by just over two days against the port-wide picture. The company attributes the reduction to declarations lodged up to 48 hours before vessel arrival and a document set assembled at booking rather than after discharge.
ASL has opened a dedicated air freight desk, with standing consolidation slots from Amsterdam and Frankfurt into Singapore, Houston, and Dubai. Ground legs on both ends run under the same telemetry standard as the ocean and road network, keeping door-to-door visibility continuous across modes.
